Processing Plant Digital Twin

By digitally simulating production using physics-based models, operators can rapidly test improvements before impacting live operations.

Asset intensive operators have led the way in deploying digital twins that can unlock higher levels of plant performance

RECENT CASE STUDIES

Our reputation is founded on bringing pragmatic expertise and thought leadership to operational improvement Our consultants are recognised leaders in their respective fields.

Mining Automation : Case Study

ATI was engaged by a large global miner as subject matter experts in mine autonomy to support the early stages of their first AHS rollout. Subsequently ATI continue to be engaged to support their global AHS design and deployment agenda.

Our Contribution:

  • Early scoping and governance including building the investment case, through to procurement and commercial negotiations
  • Planning activities including Class 2 estimates and schedules to support the investment decision, including peer reviews
  • Conducted FMEA and corrective and preventative maintenance activities, including revised operating and support models
  • Identified and implemented design improvements to be incorporated into fleet management standards

Smart Maintenance : Case Study

ATI was engaged by a prominent global miner to support the integration of a Smart Maintenance Digital Toolset into operations. Digital enablement of the maintenance teams is helping drive a culture of continuous improvement, delivering increased productivity from assets.

Our Contribution:

    • Building relationships with operational teams to ensure alignment with existing processes and pragmatic improvements
    • Development of an integration roadmap including syndicating plans with all major stakeholder groups for support
    • Planning and developing solutions in Agile Release Trains, managing iterations with a diverse team of specialist resources
    • Supporting the product owner in formulating solution strategy and the future product roadmap

      Data Engineering : Case Study

ATI was engaged by a world class integrated mine operator to lead the development of their strategy and roadmap for reporting and analytics across mine, rail, and port site teams, as well as integrated operations, maintenance and improvement teams.

      Our Contribution:

        • Detailed analysis of existing analytics and reporting capabilities to identify recommended improvement opportunities
        • Facilitation of engagement with both IT and Operations stakeholder groups to secure bilateral support and ownership
        • Development of the overarching operations analytics strategy and roadmap, including preliminary initiative scoping
        • Syndication of the final strategy and roadmap with executive and management teams to secure support and endorsement

          Rail Automation : Case Study

ATI was engaged by a large scale rail operator holding significant above and below rail assets. As the demand on rail services was increasing, the operator had concerns regarding the outdated technology being used for rail scheduling, control and signaling.

          Our Contribution:

            • Full concept and feasibility study including transformation of operations and maintenance practices not solely technology
            • Development of Concept of Operations for all rail functions, including requirements definition and mapping
            • Creation of technical artifacts to aid in procurement of suitable vendors, as well as preliminary engineering designs
            • Comprehensive operational readiness planning to ensure risks associated with transition to operations were mitigated
